Preventing Scams

Selling: Always keep your tracking numbers on file. If people chargeback on you, having the tracking number is the best way to defend yourself. Also, keep track of who bought what and for how much so you know exactly where to go if someone charges back.

Buying: Always send money through PayPal goods and services or PayPal invoice. Only send friends and families to someone you know in real life or someone who is pretty much guaranteed legit. You are better off adding the 3% fee for PayPal goods and services than risk getting scammed.

Other than that, just be careful of who you buy from or sell to. If someone is seeming sketchy or you just don’t feel right doing the deal, then flat out don’t do it. If something is too good to be true it probably is. It’s as simple as that.

Advice: If you get scammed I will tell you right now it is not the end of the world. I personally was scammed one time and lost over $7,000. I did not cry. I did not go yelling about it all over my instagram. I moved on. At the end of the day money is a tool that can be made back. Yes I lost $7,000 but by not dwelling on it I ended up making the most amount of money I have ever made in my life in the couple months after it. Moral of the story is if you get scammed (and you probably will) MOVE ON.
