App Reselling
StockX: So many people hate StockX and I completely understand why. They let fakes and flawed items get through their authentication. This is why I would 100% stay away from them when buying an item. You just do not want to risk it. When selling though, I think they have an absolutely amazing selling platform. It is so easy to list an item, ship it out, and get paid a few days later. Anyone who says you shouldn’t sell on StockX has no clue what they are talking about.
StockX seller fees depend on what level you are:
Level 1: 9.5% + 3% transaction fee
Level 2: 9% + 3% transaction fee
Level 3: 8.5% + 3% transaction fee
Level 4: 8% + 3% transaction fee
Your level as a seller depends on how many sales you have.
Once you reach 100 sales on stockx, bulk shipping becomes available. This allows you to put multiple shoes in the same box which saves tons of time. Also when you hit $25,000 in sales and have 100 sales you are eligible for StockX early payout. This means as soon as you ship a shoe, StockX will pay you.
Goat: This is a great platform for selling shoes. You sometimes can squeeze out a few extra bucks profit by selling on Goat rather than StockX. The main benefit of using Goat is you can sell used shoes so easily on their platform as long as you are asking a decent price. The only downside with Goat is you first have to get approved to sell on their platform. To do this you first will fill out the form on the app. Usually they take forever to accept them so what you are going to want to do is after a couple weeks send them an email saying you have been waiting a very long time to get your selling form accepted and they should let you in. If they don’t let you wait a couple more weeks and try again.
Goat Seller Fees: These depend on what your seller score is. The starting score which most of you will be at is 90 which has a seller fee of 9.5% + 3% to transfer the money from your goat account to your bank.
Grailed: This is not my number one platform to sell on, but nonetheless it is still a very good platform to sell your items on. The app is pretty self explanatory inside but basically you list your items, buyers can privately message you (like dms) and you get the sale through that. Many people like using grailed because it has buyer and seller protection to keep you safe. The grailed seller fee is 6% + 2.9% + .30 to paypal.
Ebay: This site typically has the highest payout out of all apps. It is really nice to use for general release shoes such as the Bred 11s, or Flint 13s. These shoes fly on Ebay for the high. There are no Ebay fees for any shoe sold for $100 or higher.
Ebay Tips:
Take clean pictures, whether you're using a lightbox or just a solid background.
Make sure you buyers leave reviews so you can get a good seller rating.
Promote your listings even if it's just by 1-2%.
Charge shipping and lower your price the amount you are charging for shipping instead of doing free shipping. This makes your listing look cheaper
If someone doesn’t pay, say you will sell to someone else unless they pay by xx/xx. This gives them some sense of urgency to pay
